Best Way to Experience a Sumo Tournament What a fun day it was at the Sumo Tournament with Eli! She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and engaged with our tour group through the entire event. Everything was well organized, cadenced and curated, helping us feel like seasoned fans!! I also loved seeing Eli’s genuine passion for the sport and am grateful we were able to learn so much because of her. watching sumo with a fan! i wrote a much more eloquent review but a trip advisor bug wiped it...0 stars for them 5+ stars for elly! she is a passionate sumo fan, so not only did i gain an understanding of the rules and traditions of the sport, i was just as excited as she was for her favorite wrestler's bouts. elly gave us encyclopedic levels of knowledge on the history of sumo, and she is also super keen on the business operations of the association. no question was left unanswered. i hope to watch sumo with elly again in the future!

Great time at Tokyo Sumo Tournament We had a great time at de Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo. We missed out on tickets through the official ticket sales so we went for the guided experience and didn't regret it for a minute. After a short introduction to Sumo wrestling we went to the arena. In time for the introduction of the second highest ranked Sumo wrestlers. The seats had a good view of the doyho. Although we did prepare for our first Sumo tournament it was a great added bonus to have a enthousiastic guide with great knowledge of the (history of the) sport, the wrestlers and the fans.
